Nice place for South Indian food. We are crazy dosa lover and have been looking for a nice place that serves dosas at good price. I can say we have found our place, Amrutha Vilas. We loved the Masala dosas. We tried a few different varieties of masala dosa and liked them. The idli and vada was also great, with fresh cooked vada. They also serve lovely chutneys and quite nice sambar. Will be visiting again soon. Averages $10 per person.

We were a group of eight, and the restaurant had spacious indoor and outdoor seating suitable for larger parties. The food was excellent - we ordered almost all varieties - idli, vada, poori, pongal, and dosas, all with an authentic Indian taste. The chutneys and sambar were also delicious. I recommend this restaurant to Indian food enthusiasts and those new to Indian cuisine.

Completely vegetarian place. They have the best Dosa’s. Sambhar was the best i have ever had in bay area. Coconut chutney and Ginger Chutney was very tasty. Idlis were soft and fresh. Onion uthapamm could be a little thin. Their sweets were very authentic too. Must try if you are around.
